PLEASE READ THIS PART.

Who should come:

-Anyone wanting to deepen their experience of personal development, recovery of all sorts and applied spiritual growth.

-Are you counselor, therapist, leader? Do you need fresh ideas for group counseling sessions or meetings? You’ll get that.

-Anyone who is interested in personal development but is averse to a lot of the woo woo stuff. (This is woo woo but presented in a less woo woo package so grumpy people can have some too.)

-Anyone who loves the Spiritual AF Instagram and Facebook pages and want more of that type of direction in their life.

-Anyone who wants to have fun, work on themselves and likes the idea of doing that in a beautiful place with a group of other people.

-All genders, races, religions, and sexual orientations are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Who shouldn’t come:

-Regardless of your gender identity or sexual orientation do not come to this retreat trying to get laid.

-Absolutely bring your trauma and your big feelings but if you’re not at a place where you can self-soothe (ie; sit in the garden for a minute and cry it out) this isn’t the retreat for you. We’re going to move fast and be covering a lot of material and won’t be digging that deep into any one person’s issues at this retreat.

-OK. you can be a bit of a grumpy asshole about this stuff and come to this retreat but if you really just wanna argue about how none of this stuff works, this isn’t the place for you. (The comments section on the internet is way cheaper than hauling your ass up this mountain.)

-If at any point during the retreat you act in a way that is not kind, honoring or violates the rights of others to be in a safe, supportive environment you will be asked to leave. We are not offering refunds.

Financial Stuff:
- All sales are final. If you are unable to attend because of an emergency we will do our best to fill the your spot but can not offer refunds if the space is not filled.

This Liability Release and Informed Consent for participation in the Spiritual AF Weekend Retreat (“Release and Consent”) releases Roxan McDonald, all affiliated organizers, and each of its successors or assigns, administrators, directors, agents, officers, trustees, employees, staff, volunteers, other participants, sponsors, advertisers, owners and lessors of premises on which the retreat occurs, instructors, therapists, consultants, and representatives,. The attendee desires to attend the Spiritual AF retreat and engage in activities related to participating in personal development retreat.

Attendee is responsible for his/her/their own insurance coverage and medical expenses in the event of personal injury or illness as a result of Attendee’s participation in the Spiritual AF retreat.

1. Waiver and Release: I, the Attendee release and forever discharge and hold harmless Roxan McDonald and its successors or assigns, administrators, directors, agents, officers, trustees, employees, staff, volunteers, other participants, sponsors, advertisers, owners and lessors of premises on which the Nonprofit retreat occurs, instructors, therapists, consultants, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or equity, which may arise or hereafter arise from my participation with the Spiritual AF retreat. I understand and acknowledge that this Release discharges Roxan McDonald from any liability or claim that I may have against Roxan McDonald, her successors or assigns, administrators, directors, agents, officers, trustees, employees, staff, volunteers, other participants, sponsors, advertisers, owners and lessors of premises on which the retreat occurs, instructors, therapists, consultants, and representatives, with respect to bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, or property damage that may result from the services provided by Roxan Mcdonald or occurring while I am participating with the Spiritual AF retreat.

2. Insurance: Further, I understand that Roxan McDonald does not assume any responsibility for or obligation to provide me with financial or other assistance, including but not limited to medical, health, or disability benefits or insurance of any nature in the event of my injury, illness, death, or damage to my property. I expressly waive any such claim for compensation liability on the part of Roxan McDonald.

3. Medical Treatment: I hereby Release and forever discharge Roxan McDonald from any claim whatsoever that arises or may hereafter arise on account of any first­aid treatment or other medical services rendered in connection with an emergency, personal injury, or illness during my tenure as an Attendee with the Spiritual AF Retreat.

4. Assumption of Risk: I understand the services provided to me by Nonprofit may include activities that may be hazardous to me, including the possibility of dangerous activities. As an Attendee, I hereby expressly assume the risk of injury or harm from these activities and Release Nonprofit from all liability from any injury, illness, and/or death resulting from my participation as an Attendee or occurring while I am attending the Spiritual AF retreat.
5. Photographic Release: I grant and convey to Roxan McDonald and organizers of the Spiritual AF Retreat all right, title, and interest in any and all photographs, video, images, writings, and audio recordings of me, my likeness, and my voice made by retreat organizers in connection with my participation in the Spiritual AF retreat. It is my understanding that I will receive no compensation for use of my likeness or testimonial. I hereby waive any right I may have to inspect and/or approve any finished product that may be used in connection with my likeness or testimonial or the use to which it may be I hereby release, discharge, and agree to hold harmless Roxan McDonald and retreat organizers and employees or agents, legal representatives or assigns and all persons acting under its permissions from any liability relating to the publication of my likeness or testimonial, including and without limitation, claims for libel or invasion of privacy.
